Élise Villatte, graduated from the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in scenography, specializes in the creation of immersive, multidimensional installations that explore the relationship between the audience, space and fiction. She also works as a set designer for theater (Gaëtan Vettier, Anyès Noël, Guy Regis Jr, Catherine Boskowitz and Jean Christophe Lanquetin), performance (Zora Snake, Festival Afriques: Utopies performatives), and exhibitions (Les Entrelacs, Cité Internationale des Arts). In 2019, she co-founded the Derrière la montagne collective and launched the Espace 4 project, which aims to create new scenic spaces within the urbanism of Port-au-Prince. Her scenographic approach focuses on the device rather than the set, placing location at the heart of her creation.

Élise Villatte currently lives and works in Paris.
